The Sojourn is a non-profit event run by volunteers. We try to keep participant fees reasonable and affordable to all. We also offer partial scholarships to deserving paddlers.
Your tax-deductible donation helps defray operating expenses, keep participant fees affordable, provide scholarships, and ensure the future of the Delaware River Sojourn for generations to come. Started in 1995, we are one of the longest-running annual river sojourns in the United States.
The Sojourn is a celebration of all that the Delaware River is: recreationally, scenically, historically, geologically, economically, and environmentally. We have scientific and technical experts on each trip who educate us on water quality, water management, aquatic life, birds, plants, trees, rock formations, bridges, the history of river commerce, Revolutionary War battlefields, and the native Americans who originally inhabited the Delaware Valley.
